Local non-profits programs working to improve education, health, and financial stability outcomes are invited to apply for funding
Oneida & Herkimer County, NY-
United Way of the Mohawk Valley’s bi-annual Strategic Investment funding application is open. This United Way of the Mohawk Valley (United Way MV) funding will support program operation costs at local agencies within Oneida and Herkimer counties.
United Way MV accepts applications from qualifying 501c3’s for a funding cycle that will begin September 1, 2021, and run through June 30, 2023, if program outcomes are achieved and UWMV fundraising levels are met. United Way MV’s funding supports the health, education, and/or financial stability of residents in Oneida and Herkimer Counties.
“Our strategic investment process is a significant part of how our donors’ dollars make an impact on the lives of thousands,” said Erin Gutierrez Matt, United Way CEO. “These funding investments into health and human services programs help ensure our community thrives.”
United Way MV hopes to provide funding to some of the community’s most vital services that address the most pressing needs in the Mohawk Valley.
“Donors trust United Way to ensure that every dollar they invest makes a significant impact. This year’s process focuses on providing that strong stewardship while encouraging increased collaboration,” explained Betty-Joan Beaudry, Director of Community Impact. “This longer funding cycle provides greater stability for not-for-profits, many of whom have come through a year when resources have been stressed to the maximum due to COVID 19. This last year has illustrated that we are more resilient when we are connected as a community.”
