United Way works with a variety of partners to bring together our community throughout the year. We invite donors, businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders to get involved in support of our work.

For this annual day of volunteering, United Way brings people together to help make an impact in our local neighborhoods. Many companies allow employees to utilize work time to volunteer with United Way MV and make a difference in the community that supports their local business. Each year, United Way identifies a service project based on community needs. In the past, we have painted over graffiti, painted murals in local parks, packed hundreds of thousands of meals for local food pantries, and created educational activity stations in local parks and trails with our Born Learning trail kits. A unique partnership formed in 1998 between United Way MV and its long-standing supportive community partner F.X. Matt Brewery, which hosts a weekly happy hour fundraiser and concert event throughout the summer. United Way coordinates groups of volunteers from local companies to assist with serving refreshments at Saranac Thursdays and Concert Series events. This volunteer opportunity requires groups to complete an application and selection process due to the high volume of interested groups/individuals and limited volunteer slots.
For more information about the Saranac Thursday selection process, please contact Kassandra at KassandraG@unitedwaymv.org
