Housing and Homelessness in the Mohawk Valley

Housing and homelessness remain some of our region’s most challenging issues. United Way of the Mohawk Valley (UWMV) leads strategic initiatives that bring partners together, focusing on the whole person and the bigger picture. By coordinating resources and working toward clear goals, we create lasting change that improves lives today and for generations to come.

The housing providers within our local Continuum of Care (CoC) work tirelessly to assist our neighbors in navigating homelessness services. The CoC is made up of private and public organizations, community members, and UWMV staff. Together, they ensure individuals and families can access the housing resources and services they need.

Continuum of Care Partners

Our local Continuum of Care (CoC) brings together over 40 public, private, and nonprofit organizations, including local government agencies, healthcare providers, housing authorities, and community-based nonprofits.

These partners work collaboratively to ensure individuals and families experiencing homelessness can access housing resources, supportive services, and programs that meet their unique needs. Together, they coordinate efforts, share data, and implement solutions to make lasting impacts across the Mohawk Valley.
