June 14, 2019 – Utica NY – United Way of the Valley & Greater Utica Area partner Cliff’s Local Market generously hosted community volunteers for the third annual “Cliff’s Pumps United” fundraising event on Friday, June 14, from 8AM to 5PM.
Volunteers from United Way’s Board of Directors and several committees, as well as seven area businesses, including Berkshire Bank, First Choice Staffing, The Hartford, Herb Philipson’s, Joe Tahan’s, McCraith Beverages and Mohawk Valley Community College pumped gas and washed windshields for tips. In total, $3,114 was raised! All funds gathered will directly benefit United Way of the Valley & Greater Utica Area programs.
While a small tip may not seem like much, it can be monumental and life changing for someone, adding up to make a big difference in people's lives right here in the valley and greater Utica area. A safe place to call home, steady child care, or the ability to pay the month's bills are all things that one helps provide with their contribution.
Participating Cliff’s Local Market locations included the Commercial Drive Cliff’s station at 4862 Commercial Drive in New York Mills, Kirkland Cliff’s at 7481 NY-5 in Kirkland (intersection of Rt 233), Ridge Mills Cliff’s at 2007 North James St in Rome.
