F.X. Matt Brewing Company Donates Record-Breaking $42,948 to United Way of the Valley & Greater Utica Area
Saranac Thursday and Summer Concert Series Raises Largest Amount in 20-Year HistoryJanuary 25, 2019 – Utica NY – The 20th Annual Saranac Thursday and Summer Concert Series proved to be a record year for donations collected for United Way of the Valley & Greater Utica Area. The 2018 summer season raised $42,980.00.
The weekly Thursday night event and Summer Concert Series has been a unique fundraiser since 1998 for United Way and its longstanding community partner, F.X. Matt Brewing Company. It is also the largest outdoor fundraiser for UWVGUA. Since the event’s inception, more than 11,000 United Way volunteers have donated their time and over $620,000 has been raised and generously donated by F.X. Matt Brewing Company from event proceeds.
One hundred percent of the contributions will support UWVGUA’s funded programs, helping 1 in 4 people in Oneida and Herkimer Counties.
Each year numerous groups, consisting of hundreds of employees from local companies, apply to volunteer for the Saranac summer event season. United Way of the Valley & Greater Utica Area will announce the opening of the 2019 season application process in early spring.
